    With over 20 years of experience as a PDHPE teacher and over a decade coaching athletics and fundamental movement skills, Heather Hozack brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to every session. A former athlete herself, she understands the dedication, resilience, and joy that sport can bring — and channels that into everyone she coaches.

    Hurdles, long jump, sprints, middle distance and multisport

    • Level 2 Athletics Coach

    With over 40 years of coaching experience on the North Coast, specialising in sprints, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, and multi-events, Glen has guided athletes to success at Para, Oceania, and National level competitions.

    High Jump Specalist

    • Level 3 Performance Coach - Athletics Australia

    Michele has been coaching high jump on the North Coast for over 40 years, working primarily with athletes aged 8 to 18. A former Northern Suburbs Club athlete in Sydney, she has guided more than 60 athletes to national medals, including international representatives such as Keith Elliott (PB 2m10) and Alex Harrison (PB 1m86)

    Throws Specalist

    • Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (studying)

    Jacob is a throws coach with six years of competition experience and three consecutive appearances at the Australian National Championships. His athletes are achieving success at state level and making qualifying marks for Nationals, guided by his athlete-focused, exploratory coaching style.

    Basketball

    • Basketball NSW Registered Coach

    Noah has been coaching basketball for four years, working across NCB camps, school programs, weekly trainings, and tours. With experience coaching multiple Valley Braves teams each season, he has led squads to major achievements including the 2024 Under 12s NEJL Championship and the 2025 Under 16s NEJL Championship, as well as State Cup representation.

    Kyle McIlveen, from Grafton, has been involved in athletics since age 8 and is now a Level 3 Jumps coach with over 10 years of experience. A former national-level high jumper and state hockey player, Kyle has coached athletes from grassroots through to the international stage.
